Hi Ladies,
Just wondering what your thoughts are on your body clock pre-labor.
Obviously we all have issues sleeping when we're this big, but I'm thinking there is more to it. I go to sleep about 10pm, wide awake around 1am then back to sleep about 45mins later. Then wide awake at 5am for another half hour then back to sleep till 7. It's been pretty standard most nights for the last couple of weeks. I still have to get up to pee but pretty much do that in my sleep these days. When I wake at these set times, i'm wide awake to the point where I could get up and potter round the house without yawning. DH has been sleeping in the spare room due to my lovely attractive chronic snoring (I'm so gorgeous right now) so it's not him waking me up.
So, just curious to know what peoples thoughts are on our bodies preparing us for what's to come(assuming bubs has a routine) or if you think it's just coincidence.

I went through a similar patch in my second trimester - the third trimester I barely slept since moving in bed was such a mission . I always thought it was my body training me for what was to come - I found it reassuring that I could have crappy nights sleep yet still manage a day at work - it made me think that maybe I could cope with a newborn. But trust me, you will be way more tired once bubs makes its appearance! But it will get better!

i agree with flissty..I have never ever know tiredness like it..but it's worth it and it gets better..
i had awful sleeps my whole pregnancy and had a baby that woke almost at the same times as me..lol so for me it was similar the times i woke (or didn't sleep) and when he was up but I think it's often coincidence..

If it was your bodies way of getting you used to broken sleep .. you would wake more often
I was just thinking 1am till 5am is heaven compared to what it was like having a newborn lol
You could just be getting excited

when I was pregnant with Ella I used to get woken up heaps in the early morning (around 4ish) by her being really active and kicking me.....sure enough 4-5am seems to the time that Ella loves to wake up in the night (and still does). So yeah I think it is your bodies way (and babies way) of preparing you......

I remember with Alia that I woke every morning with out fail to go to the loo, I got my first contraction at 4am with her.
This time I round I slept through the night, never having to get up although waking at 5.30, I reckon it was the dawn but DH reckons that he was preparing me for birth at that time.

Apart from waking once to go to the bathroom, I would sleep right through the night
