Dylan wore the nappy with a bamboo booster & a hemp booster with a tots wrap and it lasted 12 hours! I was so happy to wake up to a DRY boy (it has been a while!!)

Great news! What brand of boosters did you use?

Rachael can I ask what covers do use? I ask this because I've been using the Tots Bots bamboozles (which I love), but I have issues with Rohann as she gets excema around her waist (under nappy area), around the top of her thighs and heading 'down stairs'. It started as she turned out to be allergic to Curash powder will often flare up after a night nappy has been on. It's gotton to a stage where we are using disposables at night so we can put cream on etc (although I do use a micro fleece liner), and I wondered if these would help draw the moisture away better. But I've recently been reading that maybe a fleece cover would be better (I've been using the tots bots pul?? covers) as the apparently are better for sensitive skin?? I've used wool soakers but unfortunately that also flares up her excema. I really want to get back to using cloth 100% of the time.
Sorry for the novel - any other ideas would be great.

Sorry to butt in but I have a few friends who use the Tots Bots fleece cover and love them - especially for overnight. I haven't heard how effective they are on sensative skin though. I bought a second-hand SB fleece cover and it looks so soft & lovely - although I ahven't been able to use it yet as it's in my SNS (secret newborn stash ). I think it could be worth a try on Rohann - I really hope her rash clears up soon

Hi

I've used the Bummis wraps, Totsbots wraps and the totsbots fleece covers. Do you think it could be the fact that the fitted night nappy is quite wet (being used overnight) causing her to flare up? It may be the nappy not the actual cover ?! I would suggest using a really good microfleece liner - even if you had one that is shaped to go around the top of the nappy too to help with moisture. You really need to keep as much moisture as possible away from her skin to keep it drier so the liner would be a suggestion. I am not sure if using a different cover would prevent the flareups, it is the wetness that sits on her skin that would be the issue.
Hopefully it clears up soon....horrible seeing them with sore botties

Thanks Rachael (and Vic!!). I've tried the micro-fleece liner and have made it nappy shaped so that no bamboo touches her at all, but it dosn't seem to help much. I agree though Rachael that it's how wet the nappy gets over night thats the problem (I'm also having to be really careful to not keep a nappy on too long during the day for this reason), it can happen occasionally with the disposables but not as badly and the disposables mean I can put heaps of cream on overnight. I think I'm just going to have to accept that for now I'll be using disposables And to think I was so proud having never bought a pack of disposables before
