Topic: Gross and Random! Posted: 10 November 2008 at 9:00am |
This is a bit gross.....
So at 2:00am this morning I wake myself up coughing. But, I'm not coughing, i'm throwing up everywhere. It's through the bed and mattress, in my hair, i'm drenched in it!! Weird as I was asleep when it started!
I didn't feel sick and feel fine this morning. No stomach pains or anything. Anyone else had random vomiting with no warning? Did this darling child of mine boot me in the stomach just for fun?

Ew, you poor thing. I've never heard of that but getting booted in the tummy does sound like a valid reason.

Oh...thats a horrible experience. That happened to a friend of mine, but it was the beginnings of a tummy bug and they felt absolutely rotten at the time, unlike how you feel ok.
I haven't heard of being booted in the tummy making you that sick though. But it is weird how it happend but your feeling ok.
I hope you continue to feel ok and it goes nowhere!

Oh no...what a thing to wake up to......you poor thing!
NO Never had that or heard any one else have it. Mind you there is a tummy bug going around at the mo so you might have caught it. May be ring your MW and ask if she ould check the baby to make sure baby is ok....other than that just watch how you feel going forward!!

Well, I took the day off work simply because I keep burping and can't trust myself not to puke. But I really don't feel sick at all!

I had something similar a couple of weeks ago, although I didn't throw up everywhere but it was close! I woke up as I normally do when my asthma gets bad during the night and I start coughing heaps.
Felt fine the next day too.
Hope it doesn't happen again for you, it's not a nice feeling at all!!

Hi Danaj - weird how you should mention your problem - I had something similar wake me up the other night - but nowhere near as bad. I could feel bile coming up the back of my throat - but it wasn't heartburn. I thought I was going to puke but at the same time didn't feel nauseas. Went racing around the house trying to find my antacids in a real hurry. It was gross - I felt like I was choking and my throat was burning no matter how much I tried swallowing. I blamed it on a hot dog I ate that I probably shouldn't have - but who knows.

There is a post from mamamama to you dana about this.
Its weird because when I logged on this morning, my intention was to pop in here and say something, and mamamama had already put a similar thread somewhere....actually 2 lol
Anyway....I was going to suggest possible heartburn or reflux. I suffer from heartburn (and have before pregnancy too) and sometimes wake with the feeling I'm about to be sick, but I sick up immediately. And I have a fear of vomiting as it is, so tend to find ways to keep it down!
I keep gaviscon by my bed, because I generally need it every night.
I know this may not help because obviously once it got to your stage there was nothing you could do.
How have you been since it happend? Do you suffer from heartburn at all?

Cheers guys, i'm heaps better. The strangest thing though as i haven't felt crook at all through the whole thing.
Just puking randomly lol....... I have to say that if this is one of the worst things that happens, then i've been pretty lucky. Some of the things some of you go through are ten times worse than me throwing up through the bed. Not impressed about the $45.00 bill to get the duvet cleaned though.........apparently the smell is the problem LOL!!!
Not sure what's causing it but my scalp has errupted with Psoriasis which is not very nice. You could land a boeing on my regrowth strip and was really hoping to get my hair done this week but it hurts too much
Anyone got any good suggestions aside from expensive shampoos that helps??
