Topic: i feel like im cooking Posted: 25 October 2008 at 10:31am |
so woke up last nite absolutly dying of heat. DH was absolutly fine, tucked up under our 2 duvets, i however ended up ditching all my blankets, all my clothes ying on top of my bed and still feeling like i was absolulty roasting. i eventually cooled down and made it to sleep. all my skin felt normal, not hot at all, my legs felt coldish cos they were exposed to the nite air, my face wasnt red or hot. i just felt like i was boiling. got up this morning felt kinda ok. had to turn the heatpump off cos i was overwarm but i could cope. went out for breakfast this morning in a summer dress cos was real hot and even now am sitting her in as little a possible feeling like i must have been doing some form of light exercise. DH is in jeans and a hoody feeling quite comfortable. i havent been sick at all, havent eaten anything im not supposed to and i feel absolutly fine. what is wrong with me???

Could be just hormones? I started getting mega hot flushes about your stage, especially at night, would wake up sweating.
I have just got them back again and so can't handle this heat, I feel like a roasting chicken!

You could also have a virus and perhaps coming down with something. Have you actually taken your temperature to see what it is?
Ohhh anytime now Chickoin!!

Babies are good like that - your own little internal heating system! Not so great with summer coming up though - I really struggled with that one too when I was carrying.

I'm glad it's not just me! I'm roasting nearly all the time - particularly at night. Doesn't help having a mountain of pillows in front, behind and between my legs trying to get comfy either
I've taken my temp a few times to make sure it wasn't actually a fever but it's definitely not. Just my own wee furnace-baby keeping things toasty I think.

It's because of your pregnancy - you'll have an increase of blood flow through your body which will keep you warmer than usual. I have been waking at nights with my feet so hot that they feel like they're burning me!

I got the hot flushes all the time, I would even get them through autumn or early winter. Awful, but not alot you can do. I would always have a wet cold flannel on my forehead, only to find that 4 minutes later it felt hot too.

I was really hot when pregnant - she was like my internal heater!
DH couldn't understand it until one day he held DD while she slept and then he finally understood how she's a mega-heater!
