Any great ideas for encouraging the use of the toilet?
He is really good and will go wees without a hassle but seems to need encouragement, he doesnt really want it interrupting his play, which is fair enough. So any tips that have worked for you would be great! Thanks!

stickers or a jar of jelly beans. I started with a sticker chart but the concept was a bit big. Far better to just hand the sticker over and let her wear it until she pulled it off and stuck it somewhere.

For encouraging number 1's we got away with using stickers or the occassional lolly. He even went through a phase of flushing the toilet & that was enough of a reward for him

Number 2's required bigger things such as trains or cars. We're phasing that out now though & going back to lollies.

We have a 'wee wee dance'. Surprisingly it really works for Maddi and she gets so excited when we get to do it. The wee wee dance is reserved only for wee wees on the toilet and we all join in (just kinda wiggling our hips and singing 'wee wee dance, wee wee dance".. Maddi made it up.
We even get the wee wee dance from Maddi when ever we go.
I am going to stick with it while it works as its free and a whole lot better than lollies.. she doesn't quite get the excitement of stickers yet.

We used sticker charts - the first had about 4 squares for stickers, then once it was filled up she would get a treat (a lolly or choccie)... after that she understood the concept so we made the charts progressively bigger (i.e. more squares for stickers before the treat). It worked so well, I think in the first week she only had about 2 accidents...
mum to 3 lovely girls :D
