During the school holidays and on the days you don't do Kindy/School runs do you have a time when you make yourself get outa bed??

Also, do you have certain things you do each day of the week? Rather than just potter around each day?

I get out of bed at the same time regardless of what day it is apart from my sleep in day on the weekend.

Apart from daycare (which is instead of kindy) we don't have set things really. I always try to do something "cool" in the mornings though whether that be go shopping which is really just to look at all the fans and grates at shops (my childs obsession) or the library or go for a big walk at the park or baking etc

we spend the term flapping about - work, daycare, school, pick up dh, soccer practice, soccer games. so in the holidays we just hang out and let go of routines - apart from bedtime. Hence it being almost lunch and one child is still in pjs. - i try to have something up my sleeve, but to be honest- we have a ton of games and lego that we don't have a lot of time to do usually.

I am always up at 6ish thanks to the kids.

We have days planned when we go out, library, shopping, chipmunks so in between we will go to the park, have friends over or visit others. On days we stay home we do baking, drawing & games.

We also go for walks in the rain with their gumboots on.

I'm letting up times go this week, Cooper is quite safe hanging out with big sis although he's usually in bed with me. I'm only getting up 1/2 hour later than usual but it makes it so much more relaxed! I look after another little girl who'll be back next week.

We still plan things for the morning cause with a little one it's easier to have the routines still in place. Although this morning has been spent tidying up. Will venture into town this arvo.

I'm very lucky that we have a library across the road from us. That might get visited more often this week. Especially seeing they have coffee & biscuits! On the way is the park as well

Bed times are more relaxed but still in bed by 8pm cause I need an endish time to my day as well!

Chef is being demanded <sigh>

Playgroup and most of the other things we do keep running. We don't have preschool gymnastics, thats the only thing that is term time only.

We only laze around in PJ's watching TV all day if the kids or I are sick. ATM all three of us are, DD the worst.

Hmm, I have been lazy this week.... I do try and make sure I am out of bed by 9. The girls are finally at an age when I trust them to play nicely in the lounge, I can hear them and if I choose to open my eyes I can see them so I figure they can't get into too much trouble

These holidays have ended up being really busy which is good I guess, the girls do tend to go crazy being stuck at home all day every day. Next week I am hoping for maybe one day where we just stay at home and do nothing.

Yeah I figure that he gets up to just as much mischief if I'm right there or in the next room. Also I go into other rooms to do stuff quite often, as in picking up & cleaning up so 1/2 in bed is just fine.

I also had one child in pj's til 2pm as well. The big one was dressed in her ballet gear until 1pm!

I don't have school-age children, but I am trying to establish more of a routine because otherwise the "just pottering" can get very dull.

Mondays and Fridays DH is home, so on Mondays I am planning to do a class or swimming. On Tuesdays I have a group I go to. Wednesdays I go to SPACE at Playcentre. Thursdays and Saturdays DH works so I have made them my outing days - either an outing with DS, or visit friends. Friday is family day. Sunday we go to church as a family.

I get up roughly same time everyday, though I will confess being preg at the moment I've had a few mornings when I've got up at 7 instead of 6. My 2 older kids are in school holiday programme so we're still out most days. I do the sheets on Mondays, always stuff to be done with 4 of them! & I have two extras for the holidays. Diy on house. I'm on kindy committee & for my youngest I try to sign up to everything on offer- music, rhythm & rhyme etc. I have to stay busy or we'd+go+crazy.

Ditto!!! We're always up early. We just potter during the holidays really. I try and make sure we have atleast one playdate each week coz Jake misses the socialisation at preschool. We have alot of things to keep him amused round home though plus a park just round the corner if we start going stir-crazy. Sometimes we go down to the library and Jake 'helps' our lovely librarian Doug to stack books and water the plants while I have a cuppa and a break

I'm still up at the same time (unfortunately the kids body clocks don't register school holidays yet! Grrr) however there is no pressur eon in the morning to get ready for work, or get dressed or lunches etc, so we have still been in our PJ's at 9am most of the week.

Enjoying doing nothing and no pressure to be anywhere by a certain time but the kids are fightign and whiging non stop so looking forward to going away for a few days tomorrow.

REgardless of holidays or not I do certain things on certain days house work wise, so that the house is always cleanish and tidyish each day and its really just maintenence, makes the days a lot less stressfull.
