I think what she's saying is that my dates (I thought I was 5 weeks on Monday) show that I pretty much sit on the 50th percentile. so at 5 weeks my reading was 2167, then 1.5 days later it was 3450, which follows the line. Spoke with Dr again this morning and he said come in again Friday, and he wants numbers between 5-7000.
So once again a waiting game!
Hope that I got that explaination right Roksana and that it makes sense Nefertiti.

Its just that I used that chart and it doesn't always go accurately with the line, so I dont agree when she says it aligned perfectly with your dates.

I am sure your numbers will be that high next time...
Fingers Crossed!
Nefertiti - Hmmm.....Not sure how you are looking at it..but I just used my eyes for Her and it seems along the 50% line...so looks good to me!! As for it being on the line exactly...I doubt that it will happen as the scale on the graph is not perfectly set up but gives you a idea of where it should be...and its good enough for me. Like I said....I was in the same boat when my numbers didnt dbl every second day and I started to panic when another MUM on here gave us this graph and I used it to see where I was at and I was 50% and I am 26 + weeks now.
Nikki - HA HA ...Thanks!! LOL

Hi. Never done this before. I had brown staining at 5 weeks. Didn't get any checks done then but at 6.5 weeks had red blood, levels about 5000 and no observable fetal pole, heartbeat etc, levels increased but didn't double over 3 days. My son is now a nearly 12 kg 17 month old. Don't lose hope until all tests are done.

Hi surfergirl. I had several blood tests to check my hcg levels during the first trimester because I had continuous bleeding - started with pink/brown spotting which gradually turned into heavy red bleeding, which didn't stop until 16 weeks. My blood tests were spaced 2 or 3 days apart to check that the levels were increasing. They don't necessarily have to double, just as long as the numbers keep going up. I'm sure your next bloods will come back with a higher hcg level - fingers crossed

Just in case anyone is still following this....
Today's result is 5441, which is in the range the Dr was hoping for.
So that is great news and will result in a much more relaxed weekend!
