Topic: When can you test? Posted: 18 April 2010 at 7:21pm |
Hi guys
Just wondering when can you start testing? Am feeling a bit off colour, tired, queezy, sore boobies but period isnt due yet! Could just be a tummy bug but seems similar to last time!

I think there is one test that you can test as early as 5 days before your period is due. But normally for the best chance wait until your period is due

discover can be used quite a few days before AF is due.
you can only get them from pharmacy and they are $20
I got a POS about 2 days before i was due so its up to you....if you want an early result get a sensitive test otherwise wait till your actually due or late

blue dye ones have been known for evaps and also false positive...but yeah i would only use a clear blue probably a few days before AF is due MAX
First response is better and about half the price of a discover and some say just as good...

Isay it is , I got a BFP on FR long before one on Discover, and have a look at the "ok ,now im getting annoyed" thread, Emmecat got a BFP with only 5 ml HCG (or however you measure it )
And its best to test when your AF is due, but most of us understand how hard that is

This probably sounds ridiculous but what is 12DPO?

DPO = Days Post Ovulation (or maybe it's Past - not sure, lol)
At least, that's what i think it is , i'm sure I googled it at some stage.

I personally found First Reponse best for a couple of reasons
1) cheap
2) pee in a cup then dip the stick in as opposed to peeing on the stick
3) red dye which is supposedly more reliable early on.
Good luck!
