I am curious, how long it took to get UTD while bf...

How often where you feeding and how many months/years PP were you when you conceived.

I really want to continue bf until Jake weans himself, but I really want another baby too....

I don't *think* BFing makes a difference once you get AF back? You know my story 15-16 months PP, had had AF back 3 times before Daddy's little bolter got through.

I do have a friend who is still BFing her 26 month old, still BFing, wants to TTC, no AF yet... admittedly my AF only returned when I went for 6 weeks without feeding JJ during the day.

As always there's a kellymom page on the topic

Issy was eight months by then I was only feeding her before and after work hours. It took literally one go and hello Elias!

However my AF came back really quickly with both kids .. two months pp and AF came back .. so not fair.
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)

I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog

Unfortunately bf can impact on fertility. The increase in prolactin while bf effects your progesterone levels which can prevent Ovulation or decrease your luteal phase so a fertlised egg doesnt have time to implant.

I got AF back when Jake was 15 weeks on the dot and my first cycle was annovulatory, second cycle ovulated by LP was 7 days, third cycle ovulated with 8 day LP and fourth cycle... well still waiting to ov or get AF at CD44....

Here you on the not fair LF... Would have been nice to have a few more months without it!

Even after all your referring weegee I still forget to check kellymom lol

My DS was 10 months old when I fell pg, I was still BFing (perhaps 4 times a day - I can't really remember). It took us two months to fall pg. AF came back 6 months after having DS.

I bf our wee monkey till 13 and a half months and only had one af near the 13 month mark. I was worried af hadn't returned to normal amd started taking vitex coz we wanted to try for number 2. Low and behold I found out I was already pregnant and thats why I hadnt had another af since. But I suppose it is different for every body. I stopped bf after that but monkey didn't mind.

Thanks weegee as always kellymom has eased my woes... LOL so I need to stop lying down to feed (darn it, I am too lazy to night feed upright LOL) and apparently it common to not be fertile the first few cycles if you AF returns prior to bubba being 6 months old... so maybe next month I might get an ovulatory cycle with a normal LP...

I conceived Blaire when Alex was 10months old, regular breastfeeding (I fed Alex until just before he turned 3!) and fed him all the way through my pregnancy.
Conceived Erika when Blaire was about 14-15months old, still breastfeeding 3-4 times a day, had an IUD in & still managed to get up the duff. LOL! Again fed all the way through...
This baby I'm currently cooking was conceived when Erika was about 14months old, on the mini pill (and using condoms!), I'm still breastfeeding her about 3-4 times a day now & will be feeding her all the way through again.

My personal limit is just before they turn 3 and each time I have had to do the weaning. I might have gone for longer if it wasn't for the tandem feeding with baby & toddler.

LOL yeah both me & Hubby. Well Hubby isn't now after his snip LOL but he had really big tubes which are apparently good for the fertility thing
Being fertile runs in the family for me
