Topic: Freaky dreams because ......... Posted: 08 July 2008 at 2:40pm |
Hope this makes sense lol
Im 28weeks preggy, I know dreams are common during pregnancy but theres one particular dream that keeps coming back to me ....
I am having a ceaser for the 3rd and last time and also made the decision to have a tubal ligation due to more risk to me and future babys if I have more (am a type 1 diabetic), Figure ive got 2 wonderful boys already and baby on way which looks like a girl.. so 3 wonderful kids, why risk my health more??
Ok so I keep having a dream that baby dies of cot death but its so sureal, the room is a room in our house, it tells me what month etc...
We have just moved back to this house after hubby trying another job for 8months to which he didnt like so we came back here but i had this dream before he even spoke to the boss here..
Im only 25 yrs old and only wanted 3 children
So is this dream recurring because my mind thinks its a bad idea having a tubal ligation?

Hmm....Interesting!!
I think may be you have some reservation about moving back and may be think its going to be bad for your baby?? I think you are over thinking and analyzing. On the other hand if you know the date etc then keep an eye on that date and be careful.....I honestly think its JUST a dream!!

I don't have an answer sorry but I know what you mean about realistic dreams.
When I was pregnant I dreamt I was on a bus on the way home in the afternoon in my dream I wasn't pregnant anymore, it must have been around 3:30pm because there were teenage school girls on the bus too. There was an accident ahead of us and the bus driver tried to avoid it and lost control on an overbridge and went through the railing. I seriously felt my body falling as I plummeted to my death. My last thoughts were of my DH.
It was so real that even a couple of years on I still wonder if that is how I'm going to die.
Yep - I'm a nutcase!

Dreams are brain farts. They are what comes out when we try to ignore the things that bother us, the things that we bury deep and forget about. That's what nightmares are. Perhaps you're just nervous and your brain needs a way to expell the bad feelings. Only natural. I don't believe in premonitions like that at all.
Our minds are funny things and we will never understand them. I guess the only thing we can do is accept that and live with it. Just like men don't understand women and know even less about pregnant women. Just accept the fact you'll never get it completely and go with the flow.

My nightmare is my Mother in Law pretending to be my mother to the nurses and sneaking into the delivery suite. Then no one believes that she is not my mother and i'm committed to the insane asylum while still giving birth.
I wake up stressed and irritated at my mother in law. You'd understand if you met her.

I think I read somewhere that dreaming about someone dying is a sign of a change in your life, so not someone actual dying so it could just be the move, the new baby and the tying of your tubes all coming across in the dream of the baby dying. Definitely not a nice dream. I remember keep having a really horrible dream with Spencer that I was paralysed after giving birth and that the staff at the hospital had put him right on the end of my bed where I couldn't reach him and he was gonna fall off and no matter how much I tried to get someone to move him they all just ignored me. I have absolutely no idea what that dream meant.
Also I often dream that I am back in our house in England or even sometimes living in my parents house again, I think its just cos you have a memory of that place and it happens to come out in the dream.

I had horrible dreams about being way up high in the mountains in Tibet and having to give birth with no midwife or doctors! Random. I agree with what the others said that it is just your worries having some sort of outlet. I have also read somewhere that dreams of death are signs that you are leading up to change. It isn't very nice for you though. That is a horrible dream but try not to worry.

cuppatea...I'm no dream analyst, but the first thing that came to mind about your dream is a sense of no control...you had no control over the situation... don't new mums sometimes get slightly overwhelmed that life is out of their control when pregnant etc because once bubs is on the way, then that's it - your future is decided and you don't really have a lot of control over what's going to happen?
Meh, sorry, rambles...just my random insight which is most likely completely wrong
