If you are a beer drinker, then rinse out an empty bottle and fill it with ginger beer (or whatever). Then you can still drink from the bottle for appearances.

I did this loads as we kept our pregnancies quiet until after the 12 week scan.

I also swapped wine glasses with DH a lot when we were at the same event so he ended up drinking both.

I agree with kabebat...what is wrong with just saying you are not drinking that night? At my friends wedding I drunk maybe one glass of wine and I was the bridesmaid-I was TTC at the time but that had nothing to do with it, I just didn't want to get drunk and feel seedy the next day. No-one even thought anything of it!
Dunno why society makes such a big deal out of drinking like it is sooo cool...are we not grown ups who can have fun without being drunken?

We've got our Xmas party on Saturday, luckily I'm sober driving anyway, got work on Sunday at 6.30am!!

But don't ya hate it when you're not drinking much for whatever reason besides being PG or TTC and people keep topping up your glass? So then you have to make up some really lame excuse?!
