After 9 months of TTC, I've started charting. I tried taking the relaxed approach, but after several BFNs I was getting stressed and upset each month, with charting its giving me some control and understanding over what my body is doing.
The charting thread is really great and everyone is helpful.
Also with it taking a while and getting stressed Bding kinda stopped, so this has put some gas back in the tank.

BD comp seems to give the DH/DPs a bit of encouragement too, a bit healthy competition seems to do it for them .

I'm with mrsg1, when we were TTC at first we just went with the whenever relaxed approach (knowing that ovulation was approx day 14) but after awhile not doing anything felt stressful for me, and actively taking control and trying new things actually made me feel more relaxed. I think I'll have to check out those monitors for next time, as didn't try that (oh dear, am I already thinking about next time?)

Anyway, the gadgets I found useful was charting, especially the charting thread. I liked OPKs and found them useful. I didn't like maybe baby as I could never get it to work. I used preseed the month we conceived so I liked that too

Not sure if you count acupuncture and herbs as gadgets, but I tried those and found that they helped regulate my cycles so I'd also recommend those.

I never tried the BD competitions but the competition definitely seemed to get a few of the girls (and their partners) inspired with some great results!

Puts hand up as another TTC Charter and BD'ing competition contestant hehe I started charting from the first month we started TTC because I had no idea how baby making worked except for needing DH's little swimmers

The first BDing competition I did with the girls was our 4th month of trying and I fell pg but sadly that ended in a MC and it wasnt until 6 months later that I fell pg with Jackson.

I also used OPK's which I found really helpful, although at the time sometimes frustrating. And vitex, so not really a gadget, but I was on my second cycle with that.
