ARGH! Wigram Air Show on saturday. I'm gonna need some hearing protection for the wee fella. Are ear plugs safe? the squishy ones that expand just inside the ear
I don't know that he would like them very much, I don't find them very comfortable. But in saying that, I don't see any problem with them his ears are a lot smaller than ours, I just wouldn't cut them to fit. I know that you can buy little kiddies earmuffs as I see them at speedway all the time, though I'm not sure where you get them from.
I'll need something too as we're going to the V8's in April. My friend took her baby to a huge hiphop concert in US last year and she went to her GP for suggestions. Or you could ask the chemist?
Yea i might do that tomorrow. I wont have enough time to order from aussie! Well that and i cant afford it lol. edit: here you go pomikiwi http://www.trademe.co.nz/Baby-gear/Safety/Other/auction-200575304.htm
I got some good earmuff's for my daughter when she was about 18 months old from Mitre 10. She used them for speedway and a couple of rock type concerts.
NZ Safety do kids ear muffs & they have a branch in Christchurch. Kids Ear Muffs
I wouldn't recommend the ear plugs for little kids as they are made for adult ears & are really too big to fit in babies ears effectively. Plus they are quite difficult to insert correctly. (I've tried on my almost 3 year old when he's been to see me at work as I work in a really noisy environment. Have found ear muffs to be best).
Our pediatrician told us to just use cotton balls one year when we wondered about the fireworks on the 4th. She slept through the whole thing and did not even seem to notice the cotton. She was about 7 months old at the time.
