Hi Girls x

Sorry I've been a bit absent, but I got quite depressed about everything last month, very unlike me, so just took a back seat.

Anyhoo, here's a bit of an update. I'd been referred to Fertility Associates and had my first appointment today. The doctor I saw was amazed that I'd been given clomid without my cycles being monitored. Now I know what people mean when they say they're having monitored cycles So, plan of action is that he's increased my Clomid to 100mg and my cycle will be monitored. If nothing happens, my cycle will be on 150mg *eek* After that, he wants to do a lapo and check my tubes and endo and also drill my ovaries while he's in there.

It all sound very efficient, but I'm praying for a BFP before we get to the surgery stage.

I've also had my serum progesterone back for this cycle. It was 30.06!!!!!! Holy moly a bit different from the 6 & 8 on previous cycles. Now, I do have a small confession I didn't take it on CD 21. I thought sod it, I'm going to take it 7 days after *I* think I O'd. It was actually 8 days after ( CD24) because 7 days was a Sunday.

Feeling positive again, and it's good to know I most definitley O'd this month

Congrats to all the BFP's there's been over the last couple of months.

Neat, sounds like the FA appointment went really well!

Did your Dr perscribe you Clomid? Mine didn't even mention it as an option - had to get to FA for that (and they didn't give me a choice but to do monitored cycles).

Hi x

It was my other specialist that I went to see about PCOS. In fairness, he was concentrating on the PCOS side of things because I was claiming on my medical insurance.

I'm going to have to take even more days off work though. I think my boss is going to get a bet suss that somethings up LOL

Milliemoo that sounds awesome. We can be clomid buddies

I was always the same I have probably only ever had one cd21 bloods and then I told them I usually don't ov till cd28-32 so cd21 bloods are a waste of time for me, except to tell me I haven't ovulated lol

Good stuff Millie. Just a question, who's your health insurance with and did they ask you about how long you'd had any symptoms for? I've only had health insurance for 2 years and I haven't claimed on anything related to my PCOS because I've had a symptom of PCOS (an irregular AF) since I was a teen.

Treen... You'll be fine with your insurance. It's the investigative procedures to confirm that you have POCS and any treatment thereafter which you can claim for. My company (Southern Cross) didn't query anything. I just sent off the reciepts and I got my money a week later :) Over $500!

Brixey... I went to the centre in Albany. Aparently it's much easier to get an appointment there and cause I live on the Shore they called me up on the off chance I could make a last minute appointment.

Appy... totally :) off to look at the charts thread to see where you're at.

Shezzey.... it's such a huge relief to get a good result with the progesterone even if I'm not UTD

MelNel... LOL I do like being right ;)

Thanks for that, Millie, I've been worried that they'll phone me up for a grilling if I made a claim. Like they did with my wisdom teeth. They hounded me for a good 20 mins then told me they wouldn't accept the claim because I'd admitted to having the odd tooth ache over the years and that made it a pre existing condition.

That's a complete mare... who's your insurance with?

Seriously, SC never even called or wrote to ask anything and I was really expecting it because of the close link to fertility, which I'm not covered for.

I'm with SC, too... Have you had your insurance for long? Perhaps they only grill the newbies.

Not long at all (less than a year) but it's a company scheme that my hubby gets as a benefit.

Might have been who you ran into Treen. Some people make things as difficult as possible for whatever reason but its not always the best reflection of the company as a whole.

Yay Milliemoo glad to hear things are moving along!! Look forward to seeing BFP in the not too distant future

Yeah, hopefully you're right, Babe. I've been putting off the claim as I've been too scared I'll be put under interrogation once again (I stress over the littlest things) but I will give it a go now. Thanks for the advice, girls. xx
