    Posted: 14 May 2010 at 4:09pm

Hi ladies,

I have just noticed blue ink on our new couch which has been scotch guarded. I have used a damp cloth on it which seems to have lifted it somewhat, but its still there. Any advice for how to get rid of it??

i have a book on how to clean just about everything

what fabric is it? then ill write up what it says to do...

iv got:
leather, vinyl specifically and other fabrics as long as its not PERMANENT INK

they say use meths and blot not rub, check fabric is colourfast first also...

if that doesnt work ill type this out specifically.

Baby wipes will do the job, otherwise try a bit of jif on a cloth. Magic.

I tried dishwashing liquid as a prewash softener on some blue pen ink on a white t-shirt.  It lifted no problems.  Maybe you could do a spot test somewhere hidden first?

Thanks heaps ladies. I'll try your suggestions out in an inconspicious place first.

Its like a velour type fabric? I'm not really too sure to be honest. It kind of reminds me of velvet to touch. Maybe suede?
