Wow you are really brave and I totally think you will make a great mum after all the consideration you have made into getting pregnant.
I think if you can love and look after your horses (i have horses also) you will be able to love and look after your baby.
All the best

Thanks so much for the comforting words, makes such a difference.

I've had my first light 4 day period so could be one of those freaks who's depo wears off quick! I'm on 800ug folic acid, STILL waiting to hear about my meds, gp is going to ring the psychs and give them the hurry up I'm starting to get excited about the idea as well as terrified.

Been oogling the baby isles in supermarket and looking too much at trade me. Feeling clucky? Nooooo

About to head off on a 3 day trek this weekend, start of DF's time off work (he's taken leave so has about 20 days ) looking forward to it!

What sort of horses do you have skp? My boy is an anglo arab gelding, DF has a friesian x SB, an older SB that our neighbours boy rides and lastly a younger SB that we are training to saddle (lol, put gear on and ride... gotta love those quiet track broken SB's!!!).

Ooooh good luck MF, my DS was concieved within a month of missing my injection, I found out 6 weeks after I missed it that I was already pregnant... had been expecting a bit more time to get my head around starting to try 'sometime soon' but nope, obviously that kid was meant to be...lol

I been lurking on TM too, and bought some items from one PP set I went doolally over, but nothing else has really caught my eye 'yet'

Hi Merlinfluff,

I also wanted to say that you are really brave and from the sound of it you have awesome support. I too am on AD and feel the benefits outweigh the risks - it was a very difficult decision but the best I know.

I am now ttc again after a mc in early Nov, I thought I was nearly 12 weeks and found out at a scan that baby had died at 8 weeks - it was a very sad time.

Anyway all the best and hope you have had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year

My friend is pregnant with her second child. She has been on AD's since having her first. Cutting along story short she was suppose to wean off the Ad's as they didn't know the effects on baby would be but she found she could not cope without them and put herself back onto them. She has just had Anino which gave them the all clear for what they test for but obviously until baby is born (may) they won't know. i feel for the struggle you have with this as I see what a struggle my friend has.

and good luck with TTc'ing and everything

Well, it's now middle of march and I've had my first proper full length period Can't say I ever thought I'd be excited about that!!

I find that as time passes I am more and more sure of my decision, despite severe MH problems. I'm in no great rush to concieve and know depo can take a long time to wear off after being on it for so many years. But I am content and calmer, less terrified, of the decision I've made. I'd be a very happy person if I got a BFP tomorrow but I'm also happy to do things naturally, only BD when I feel like it (not that I have any other option with PTSD!) and look at cute baby clothes, and think about which brand of washable nappies to look into.

DP has been studying car seats and what ages he can take a baby skiing, wondering when we should buy a young pony to break in. He's so sweet!

At least I have finally got to use my cloth sanitary pads with witch material I bought off TM a while ago

Merlinfluff - im glad you understand that depo can take a long time to wear off.........although babykatnz did say she got preg right after missing, she didnt say how long she had been on it..........and from my own personal experience and journey it will most likely take a while to get a proper cycle.....
I dont know anything about anything else you are on and have etc, but as long as your doc is knowledgable about these things and doesnt take you off everything thinking you will get preg quickly........I got my first bleed a month after injection had worn off, but got on and off bleeding and spotting and brown tarish stuff for about 6months and have only been getting a regular cycle for the last 6 months.....I have been off everything for over a year now and still TTC..........although i am hoping my late AF and test has good news tonight.......
Its obviously going to be a struggle for you and would hate for you to go through more than you need to before your body is even ready to conceive.....I would recommend charting so you know when your are actually (if at all) ovulating.........i wished i started that sooner too........

All the best and despite the stats on depo i hope your an exception to the stats and have a short TTC journey and your pregnancy goes well and is everything you ever dreamed off.............Good on you and glad you found the support from in here...........everyone on here is awesome!!!
