Hey Kellie, can you afford to have a personal trainer? The ones that come to your house are fantastic but even having a session with one once a week at the gym (and you going a few other days as well) will really really help. I'd also recommend getting a nutritionist on your side and actively planning out your meals. One of the first things I did when I wanted to loose weight was to go through my pantry and pull out all the obvious junk food (chips, lollies, chocolate, toppings) then do the same for the fridge and freezer (ice cream, frozen chips etc) and put it all on the table - makes you feel ill to see it there. Then I just stopped buying them. Instead of potato chips I purchased rice crackers and hummus. I started to buy REALLY expensive chocolate so that it was a real treat (if I have a big bag of M&M's I'll just eat it, if it's Free Trade Organic Dark chocolate, I'll have a piece or two a day at the most). Shopping at smaller shops, like organic ones is great. Even though things are pricey there isn't as much opportunity to buy crap so you end up spending less and on better food.
Personally I've found that diet just doesn't do it for me, I have to have both diet and exercise.
Good luck.

Me too Kelly!
I'm naturally a small person but I'm a couple of sizes bigger than I want to be and I really hate my saggy arms, dimpled thighs and pouchy waist. I'm 57kgs and don't seem to ever drop below that (not since I hit my mid-20s anyways) but before I was pregnant I was a trim and toned 57kgs not soft, dimpled & pouchy. At 5ft nothing any extra weight is really obvious.
We're going to be ready to TTC #2 in about 3 months so I'm going to try and lose a bit of weight and tone up in the meantime. I definitely agree that being healthier and fitter will help during the pregnancy.
I've just recently bought a Denise Austin DVD "shrink your female fat zones" and if I actually use it it'll probably help. I also tried to convince DH to let me buy a new buggy so I can go on walks and jogs with Michaela but looking at the weather atm I'm glad he vetoed that idea.

I know what you mean. I went to a specialist lolly shop at lindale farm in the weekend and spent $12 on lollies plus I have the last of a block of lindt chocolate screaming at me. So far I've resisted tho.
I've started recording how much fat and kjs I've eaten today (it's always worked for me in the past) and was surprised by how many cals I'd eaten even though I was being good today, no wonder I keep growing instead of shrinking.
Good luck for your weight loss.
