Well DS is 18 months old so I can't believe this might be happening to me again..Anyway, need some advice.

For the last few days, maybe 3-4 days, under my arm and towards my boos has been sore, kinda burny, and extra sensitive, feels really strange. It has been hurting to feed him lately as he is getting his two year molars so wonder if he has grazed my nipple and that has caused an infection.

I can't see any red patches, and didn't even think about it being mastitis until today....no lumps or anything.

Haven't felt sick either til tonight, but tonight there is a pork roast in the oven and it makes me feel like puking haha! (I'm a vegetarian and the smell of pig disgusts me anyway).

I dunno what to think tho, has anyone else had this feeling? I can't remember what it felt like last time other than extreme pain when the lumps were there, I don't remember if there was this burning pain or not??

I am gonna make an appointment with my Dr tomorrow regardless but thought I might at least have some idea of what I am going with....

I had lumps in my breast when Ben was alot older (can't remember exactly but maybe 1y+), there was also redness and it kept reoccuring. The GPs I saw just kept giving me ABs for mastitis. I saw a breast physician and she said that mastitis incl a fever so without a fever it is engorgement.
So if you haven't got a fever then I would be tempted to suggest that it is engorgement, although the burning does seem a bit strange for engorgement.
Have you tried massage, hot flannels, cabbage leaves, high dose vit c etc? Feel for you as it isn't nice, hope you get it sorted.
Lindsey

Could you be pregnant? Since being PG my nipples have been more sensitive (and get funny feelings in my boobs sometimes) and the smell could be preggy related too?

Otherwise there is a girl in my ANC who has been having issues lately (last month or so) with infections and pain while feeding, the Dr isnt sure wahts going on (been on ABs pretty consistently for the whole time and it hasnt got any better) sent her off for a scan and there was nothing there... I hope its something easily solved either way!

Unlikely, not been much bding been going on here sigh! I wish though lol. Plus only on one side...

Hmm that doesn't sound great for the lady in AN, how frustrating for her. Def hurting here when feeding, not very fun.

Lol, yes pretty funny, is actually what I first thought as my sons childcare had chickenpox but then on the net it says it is not contagious.
Hurts like hell to feed him on that side tho :-(
