Thanks Monkey and Kiwi Good plan Monkey! I'm wondering if I should do the same. Going to ask Dr tomorrow. Is yours recommended by Dr Kiwi?

I was advised to take 100mg day until 36 weeks. To be honest I went on holiday at 20werks and forgot to take it with me. Decided not to restart it after that as I doubt it's doing a lot by that stage. One doc told me 36weeks but another had said stop at 14 weeks so lots of different advice around

Yes Nell, mw wanted me to stop taking it 4 weeks before due date but ob told me to keep going till baby was born. I did and had no probs, normal bleeding after birth, etc. Hope it helps :)

I thought 100mg was too much Kaz, but that seems to be the consensus! Did you find it cheaper on prescription or much of a muchness?
Oops Vege! Yes seems to be different opinions depending on Dr, MW, OB. General thought that 1st Tri is the most important though, I think :) btw excitingly awaiting your birth announcement!!! Will be watching for it like a hawk :D
Thanks Kiwi! Was wondering about effects after birth, glad it went well!
What steroids are you on Charlie? prednisone?

Yeah it's Prednisone - was on 20mg for the first part but have reduced to 10mg, then will go down to 5mg, then 2.5mg before finally stopping... Will be nice to not have so many pills to take each day :)

Oh yup, that makes sense Charlie :) do you know why you are on it, I mean did you test positive to antibodies or lupus etc? I'm also going to ask to be on that. Did you notice any side effects, like thirsty or really hungry? Funny story, my cat had lupus and I used to crush that drug for him and put it in his food, he was always so thirsty! Bit random that I might need it myself now!

No we never got tested for those things.. I think we Dr Fisher suggested trying the colorado protocol since we were having no luck each time, and he figured it was worth a go... I have been on them for i think around 5 or 6 of our embryo transfers. I was/am willing to try anything to get this much longed for baby! Haha funny that your cat had the same medications! I havent really noticed any side effects i think my body is used to them by now :) Good luck xx

Thanks Nell! I hope you don't have much longer to wait for your second rainbow!! Will definitely pop back in with my announcement when the time comes!
To me the aspirin has never been proven to help so I took it so I felt like I was doing something but didn't place a huge amount of faith in it guess. I was also on progesterone suppositories and I was much better at taking those religiously! There is some (poor quality) evidence that it helps tthe recurrent miscarry-ers. My ob also said if those two didn't work then he normally looks at adding in prednisone and clexane injections. Again no evidence but as something to try as he reckons there is a group of woman it helps, we just don't know why or which woman yet!!!
Anyway - that's my insight. When the time comes for bubba #2 I plan to start aspirin and progesterone again. Evidence or not, something worked this time and if it WAS the drugs then simple solution :)
