Topic: Intro and question Posted: 04 June 2008 at 9:38am |
Hi all...
Vic pointed me to this forum, so thought I might pop on and introduce myself. I'm Trudie, mum to Max (3) and Ava (8 weeks). I want Ava to be a cloth bummed girl, so am building up my stash, so she is part-time cloth atm as we don't have enough yet for full-time use :D
My question... would the DesignerBums merino wrap work okay with prefolds... or would a wet heavy prefold stretch the wrap?
thanks
Trudie

Hi Trudie!! Welcome to OhBaby!!
I have a DB merino wrap, but have never used it with prefolds. I always used bummis wraps with my prefolds. I'm not sure really, I wonder if it would be 'stiff' enough? I guess it would depend on how often she is changed, and how wet she gets. I guess it should work.
Sorry, thats really no help is it!!

I've used DB merino covers with Snappied prefolds, but I wouldn't use them pad folded, like you might with a PUL cover - I prefer them snappied anyway though.

Trudie - a snappied prefold is a prefold held on with a snappi, which is a little y shaped device that grips and is used in place of a pin.

Check out Snazzipants under their 'product' section and select 'prefolds' for more info.
