My little one has just become increasingly fussy over taking his bottle. He has been on a bottle from just about day one and we haven't changed formula.

But he starts getting restless on the bottle and moving around and ends up nearly upside down IYKWIM.

I have tried changing location, putting on the TV, complete silence and increased the teat size but nothing seems to have helped.

Any ideas anyone?? He is nearly 5 months.

He is a baby and this is what they do, nosey wee blighters aren't they. You just have to get through it as best you can.

This link is for bfing mums but is just as applicable for bottle-feeding mums http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/distractible-baby.html

The increase in being fussy could be in relation to your other post as well. Just a thought.

A&C yeah I thought of this (other post about eczema)but he just seems distracted fussy rather than upset fussy if that makes sense.

Gosh I am glad to hear I am not the only one with an easily distracted feeder!
My 7 month old DS started actually refusing the breast if we were out and about when he was about 5 months - he was too interested in what was going on around him. I can laugh about it now but man I ended up in some messes and milk everywhere! Totally different to my older daughter who once she was feeding the house could fall down and she wouldn't have noticed.
I have to go into a quiet room to breastfeed him, he seems to be ok with drinking from his cup though, still mucks around a bit though and take his time!
I tend to think that he can't be too hungry if he isn't fully focussed on it.
I put it down to just being normal baby behaviour

It seems to be fairly normal behaviour at that age. DS was bf'd but if there was anything happening that he thought was more interesting he didn't want feeding! If he refused or pulled off twice I used to wait 1/2-1hr before trying again.
