No, cause the lactose free one isn't what would be causing the eczema the protein in the dairy will be so the HA formula which has had it's proteins broken down a bit will be easier for him to digest & possibly not react or you could try Goat formula which has a different type of protein. Dairy is A1 & goat is A2

How bad is it?? Even formula off the shelf may not help. I had a heck of a time with my we boy. In the end he had to see a ped and was put onto neocate. What Kel said is right. It is normaly the proteins in the formula that is the problem. So you need to use milk that has the protein broken down as much as they can. All the best it can be a very hard road. My boy is 22months old and we still have problems and he is still on neocate.

Oh I feel your pain!! My baby developed eczema when he was about 2 months old, he is nearly 8 months old now, he was on cows milk formula and I tried them all, goat, HA , Soy, we have a wonderful eczema nurse at my doctors surgery and I went to see her about 2 months ago and because of his symptoms LOTS of spilling, loose poo, blocked up nose all the time and the eczema she said he has a cows milk allergy, so she put him on soy he was great for a week eczema cleared right up, then he started getting worse and he developed an allergy to soy, so now he is on neocate as well, his eczema is a thousand times better, but he is also allergic to pumpkin and banana and something else which I just can't work out as he still gets it on his face, might be worst going to see a GP to see if you can get the neocate on prescription :)
