right so now i have 2x weekly bloods and 2x weekly appointments with the mw and hospital appointments whenever they get round to giving me one..
in the meantime no protein in urine..BP fine..but still bulk swelling and swelling has moved to tummy...if i get high BP and or protein I'm in hospital..otherwise I might go overdue....so does that mean I should't worry about the swelling..? I just worry if it gets any further up it will affect bubs? atm I feel fine and eveything else (except platelet count) is perfect)...I know I'm getting the best care and monitored as I need to be...

Bub isn't engaged yet but i suppose that's normal? and is in R instead of ROL position..whatever that means?:) anyway for those who had PE how much swelling did you have..did anyone have lots of swelling with no other issues? MW said if she was at all worried i would be in the hospital quick as a flash.. shes going away though but I'm sure the new one (for three weeks) is lovely but I'd rather she hadn't gone...:) not her fault though!!!!

Cant talk for the PE as i never had it with my pregnancy but i can tell you that its not uncommon for a baby to not be engaged at 36 weeks, Caitlyn wasnt engaged till she was 38 weeks, my friends baby wasnt engaged on the day she went into labour

Hey Kawwww. I still have major swelling from my pregnancy. During my pregnancy I had swelling from my feet to all the way up my back. It was really gross. I remember the doctors didn't think much of it and I didn't get diagnosed with PE until I was actually overdue (and I had other signs).

It is slowly going down, My total weight loss in a week is 11 kilos thus far, and I still have alot of water retention. The hot weather doesn't help and the fact I am on my feet a bit inbetween looking after bubs, going out and cleaning.

Hope you get the answers you need from your doctors, you will probally see the swelling get worse over last couple of weeks too. I feel for you being due in mid summer.

I think I have said it before its the swelling in your face that will get them really concerned. However you would think that with the swelling up to your tummy they would be concerned.

ladyluck..so the swelling by itself was ok...it doesnt affect bubs even if its way up your body? i jut hate it...i dont mind all the other ways pregnancy makes you look but if one more person comment son my feet...!! actually i think i might have seen a pic of yours?i think the docs etc are just worried due to high BP before now and the ureaplasmic cells? I'm not sure..i guess they figure better safe than sorry!:) oh and congrats on Phoenix:) !

mummy- she doesnt seem worried at all unless i get the other symptoms(protein high BP, flashing lights headaches).. she just said it could go to my face..she didnt say that was bad.. why is it bad if it goes to face?

Thats what I was told by my OB, something to do with your brain and you may swell in there.

I had that problem this time last year. It totally bites. Yeah I had it in my face with Andrew and it only just started in my face the day before I got induced with Josh.

Just keep an eye out for the face swelling, puffy eyes are a big giveaway. I think I was heading that way, but Phoenix was running out of waters in the womb, so I was induced pretty smartly.

I do feel for you kawwww, you just don't feel human with all that fluid retention. At least you can look forward to peeing it all out after birth. No more of those tiny bladder pressure wees, it comes flooding out. I imagine mine will still take a while yet.

Yeah, I think Phoenix is adorable too. You have no idea the instant emotion you feel when they are placed upon your chest. I was overwhelmed.

If you do start seeing spots, or get dizzy, or are getting regular headaches, do speak up. They ask for a reason. I had minor spots but put it down to heat, I definately should have been more pushy / upfront during the last weeks of my pregnancy. Once I became overdue, I stopped counting the days.

Oh and btw, I had protein throughout my pregnancy show, but on the day they decided to induce me, I had no trace at all. Funnily enough they decided to test me after they broke my waters, and I was protein +3, and that's one reason they wanted to keep me in the hospital. Yet, I was told it was common to have high protein after breaking the waters due to the amount of blood.

Good luck girl.

i havent got the face swelling yet... i think thats why (as it is moving up ) they are keeping such a close eye on me... yes i def. will tell them if i get any more symptoms..i got flashing lights when i had my mc..and anything like that and I'm down their in a shot.. I'm a little less worried bout him coming safely now as I'm getting towards 37 weeks..
