Topic: Birth Centre - North Shore / Waitakere Posted: 28 January 2010 at 5:00pm |
I am currently busy with a feasibility study & would appreciate your comments on the following:
1. Would you be prepared to pay for your birth at a private Birth Centre in a tranquil setting with modern, yet homely facilities? Ifso - up to how much would you be prepared to pay?
2. Would you be prepared to pay for your post-natal stay at a private Birth Centre in a tranquil setting with modern, yet homely facilities.
(All rooms would have en-suite, tv, queen beds, healthy meals, etc) Ifso, how much would you be prepared to pay per night?
3. Do you reside on the North Shore or Waitakere?
Thank you for your comments:)

1. I would... not sure how much tbh but not a lot when i can just go to birth care over the bridge for free....
2. I would... not more than the nightly fee charged by birthcare for private or extra nights (per night of course).
3. North Shore

1. No, would prefer to be in hospital.
2. Yes, not sure how much but it would need to be alot nicer than North Shores private rooms, and I wouldn't pay more than Hotel type prices.
3. Waitakere (but delivered both my kids i north shore hosp)

1. No. I think someone should pay us to give birth! haha.
I birthed for free at Parnell birthcare, so I wouldnt pay to birth anywhere else.
2. Possibly, but it would have to be pretty cheap, under $150 per night... If I'm going to spend money on something, I would prefer it to be child-free. And at Parnell BC it was all free anyway.
Although, the Queen beds are a good selling point, so DH could stay too.... but even so, I'd rather save that money for baby essentials.
3. Im in Central Auckland, Blockhouse Bay, but if i were to have birthed in hospital, it would have been at Waitakere.

This is one of the best birth centers I have ever found. I am highly impressed by the efforts they are making for this blog to make it more real and appreciative. If you will check uk best essays and get new skill of education. That was taken care of the newborn with much and extra care in all domains to provide them with every facility.
