Topic: Ive started Spotting... Posted: 02 August 2007 at 9:17pm |
and its been 4 weeks since the miscarriage. It started yesterday, but its like the most pathetic amount of REALLY light faint "Blood" and it hasnt changed today. Ive been tired and peeing a lot aswell the last 4 or so days, and DF and I did BD after the miscarriage so Im thinking I may have fallen pregnant again.
Im not sure if this is my body starting a pathetic attempt at a period or if it might be inplantation bleeding...seems as its so extremly light and not getting any heavier at the momment.
My periods are normally, start out fairly light then get real heavy on day 2, its day 2 today and its just as light as yesterday...Im SO confused.
But if I take a test I might get a false positive becaus I may have hcg in my system still right?

Sheza, my periods were wacko for a couple of months after my miscarriage. There is a chance you could be pregnant... but I also don't want you to get your hopes up.
Your HCG levels should have well returned to normal by now, so probably a test would help put your mind at ease. If it's positive you could go for a bloodtest and then another in a couple of days to see if the HCG is increasing.
I know you wanted to TTC again pretty quickly - how would you feel if it were this soon?

I would feel...scared but happy...nervous but excited, so really a mixture of things.
DF and I had talked about wating a while to try again, but after the miscarriage and when we were given the all clear to BD again I just wanted to be close to him I didnt even think about using protection.
So if I am pregnant again I will just take it a day at a time and try my hardest to not worry myself sick.

Hi Sheza. The same thing happened to a friend of mine, she had a m/c a few months ago, then a month later started spotting really lightly. She done a HPT and it was positive but she thought it may have still been the HCG from her m/c.
She ended up having blood tests and it confirmed she was in the very early stages of pregnancy.
Not to get your hopes up but this could be whats happening with you, apparently straight after a m/c is the best time to get pregnant again as your most fertile.
I would maybe do a HPT then if its positive go and get some bloods done.
Good luck

Hi Sheza, if you do a test now it won't pick up your levels from the last pg. So a positive test now will be for now. You may have a strange period this time around - that's really the alternate reason for spotting at this point.
Do a test, if it's positive go and see a doctor to check all is well or blood tests etc, if you are pg that visit won't cost you.

It usually takes around 2 weeks for your HCG levels to drop (usually, without retained product). So that would make you 4-3 weeks and 2 days into your next cycle? (depending on when your body started the production of eggies again) Maybe?
My recommendation would be to also test as I would want to know if it was RP (which is most unusual) or pregnancy and be checked by a Dr.

Well, I did a test and its a BFN, so I doubt I am pregnant, I think the spotting is just my period trying to start...

Okay well it's good you know for sure. If you didn't have a proper clean-out last time you might get it this period around... my AF after m/c was 2 weeks long and even more crampy than the m/c itself.
