Does she have an old container that has the comparison colours on it? If so, maybe she could get you to take a few sticks home and do the test at home where you're more comfortable. Then you could text her the results.

You could always pee into a spec jar at home that morning and then dip the bit of paper in it when you get there. Thats how we do it here. Also, its probably not very good for you to not go to the loo for that long...

I always got stagefright when it came to peeing on the sticks too!
All through both pregnancies even when I was bursting beforehand, I just couldn't go on demand.
My midwives did what Bobbie suggested and left me with a stick to do later and I text them if there were any odd results.

i do have a jar here that i was going to use if i really had to go. its such a pain!!!i had this problem with tash too, but my mw used to see me, then send me shopping and just come back and pee for her....i think next time i will just pee in a jar either the night before or early that morning and take that just in case.
maybe when these babies get a bit bigger and park on my bladder i will be all sweet.

If for some reason I can't go, my M/W just passes me a couple of glasses of water. Then I try. If no luck, I try to lean forward or back on the loo. Sometimes a slightly altered angle can bring the sensation on. Try and relax. Good luck peeing!

I was the worst at it, I'd manage to get a few drops out but totally miss the stick and get it all over my hand.
Good luck for next time

lol, peeing on your hands... I don't and have never had a problem. I'd give anything to not have to pee all the time!!!!!!!

what you can do is ask your midwife to give you the pots to take home and you can do it at home before going to your apopintment.
my midwife gives me this big container to pee on and then pour the urine into the tiny pot (so u dont have to fear splashes and making a mess - being honest: im bad at aiming my urine into a small hole lol )
its not just a phsycological thing
