We didn't let anyone know that I was in labour and rang our parents and best friends within a an hour of Ollie's birth. Everyone else just got text messages.

I have to admit I was really excited that he had finally arrived and wanted to let people know. Maybe you could turn your mobile off and 'forget' that its in your bag, just in case you do want to shout it to the world when bubs arrives
