Topic: Signs of Pregnancy Posted: 24 March 2007 at 1:33pm |
Just beacause I am impatient.
Apart from the obvious signs are there any other unusual ones. I am busy trying to analyze at the moment.
I have acne (caused by PCOS) and it usually starts getting bad abot now but is still looking all good.

Early signs for me were, bad acne on the under area on my face eg chin and surrounding area, and on my back and chest, very aching boobs, dizziness, extra discharge than normal, no AF (of course!), certain foods that I normally liked I no longer wanted to eat, and the biggie for me was alcohol rejection. On honeymoon, poor DF had to drink by himself as I just could not stomach my favourite drink (Coruba Rum) and that really made me suspicious! Turns out now I know why I couldn't stomach it!

I really just feel slightly bloated and tired... which is such a pain for me, because it's so very similar to when I really am preggas that I can't tell the difference! And then I get my hopes up even before AF is due... I'm sure you all know how that works

folic acid .. or folate, is in breads etc as well. but a sure fire way to get a whole heap is to eat lots of marmite or vegemite - in one 5g serving there is 100micrograms, usually tablets have about 800micrograms.. so, if you like to pig out on vegemite on toast or crackers or whatever.. that's the way to go.

I had no real 'symptoms'. In fact was so sure I wasn't preggers I bought tampons in the anticipation of AF!!!
Turns out I didn't need them after getting my BFP.
So I guess its different for everyone. I thought I'd have 'symptoms' like everyone describes - but not really. No sore boobs, no "inkling".......have definately gone off alcohol (never though that would happen) and tastes have completely changed!!!

I had nausea from about a week after conception, right til the day Joshua was born Also, sore boobs, aversion to the smell of meat, and of perfume..... um, totally tired all the time.... and acne. Also, I had this funny 'flicking' (for want of a better word) sensation in my lower stomach and I think that may have been when the actual moment of conception happened?? Not sure on that one though!

I kind of thought something was up with the amount of times I had to pee!
I also had really "creaky" period pains with no period arriving - we were TTC so I wasn't too suprised to get a positive on the test. But it was really the weeing thing that I thought "uh-huh, something's going on here..."
Good luck

I didnt know I was pregnant until I went for my smear and my dr suggested testing just in case. My AF was due that week, so I wasnt expecting to find out that it wasnt coming!
I did have really bad PMS symptoms - ie I was the "she-devil" to live with. I was soooo incredibly grumpy and tired and not very nice. But I didnt associate it with anything other than PMS!

Crying. Lots of crying. So much that I'd have given me a slap if I wasn't me.
Hope you get your BFP
