Hi,

We are shopping for a second car and dont want anything too big. BUT we need (or hopefully will need in a year or so) to be able to fit 3 car seats in the back.

I was hoping that those of you with 3 seats in your car, or those who know 3 seats will fit, can tell me how wide your back seat is and/or what car you have and what seats. We'll need to go seat shopping too!

Thanks heaps

we have 3 seats across the back, 6 year old in safe and sound hi liner, 3yo in Diono radian rear facing or forward facing on outer side and 3 month old in Diono radian rear facing in middle or outer depending on her sisters seat, we did try free radians too and they fit perfect in the similar layout. We have an older car, Mitsubishi legnum, but can definitely do it in a Honda accord new or old, the key I found was a flatter back seat as they didn't tend to tilt in or out and sat flat on the seat. Good luck with finding something suitable! was hard finding 3 to fit in our car as a new one was/is not on the cards for us.

I have a Brio Zento, a Diono Radian and a Cosco across the back of my Mazda 6, could do it in a Mazda 3 too but doesn't fit in the Toyota Fielder (I think it would do 3 x Radians though.)

ETA: all rear facing.

we have a ford xr8 and fits 3 seats in the back really well. Two radians and one safe and sound guardian rear facing. I investigated before I needed 3 seats as well and found radians were nice and narrow. Good luck

I think that you can choose something from Nissan crossovers. They are pretty comfortable.

Yeah, Nissan is a good choice.
