Just out of curiosity... why is the iron in Elevit not good for some pregnant women ?

Yeah I'm curious about that too because I would have thought lots of iron would be good for pregnant women as they need it a lot more

As iron is accumulated in the body you can actually get an excess of iron in the body which tends to be stored in the organs. Usually your LMC will take blood tests to assess iron stores and see if you need to take or stop taking iron.
You are right, in pregnancy you do need more iron and as most peoples diets are not quite high enough in iron Elevit should be fine for nearly everyone.
The other thing that iron can do is precipitate coldsores so if you are taking elevit and getting more coldsores than usual, its probably the iron it contains.

We are thinking of TTC baby # 2 around July- August 2007. Knowing my luck I will be pregnant right away!!!

I was on the pill for 6-7 years (BEFORE #1) I stopped it and became pregnant with in 3 months.
