Topic: I want AF to visit! Posted: 09 May 2006 at 8:48am |
Now you probably think I have really gone off the nutty deep end but I want AF to come and visit so I can feel normal, start charting etc
I have been off the Depo since Jan so I have another 8 months before "technically" the Dr. can do any investigating. But the last 2 nights have been very very strange...
Sunday night I had these major cramps like I was about to get my period and was getting all excited, then it was nothing
Last night I had a DREAM I had my period (where I saw blood on my undies!!) and went shopping for Pads (where I usually buy tampons). And ended up buying "Period Nappies"
Random Ay??

Hi Lena
I went off Depo in November 2004 and got my first period on 1 March 2006. In saying that though, in January 2006, I got all the pre AF signs but nothing happened. I think it was just my body getting ready so maybe it isn't far off for you.
Thank goodness DH and I weren't planning to start when I came off the depo all that time ago. I only stopped cos of the weak bones information that came out. I would have been heart broken if I had been trying all that time. Good luck that AF isn't too far away for you

Lena, if it helps any, it took 14 months for my period to come back once I stopped taking Depo - and whereas before I started taking it she was as regular as clockwork, afterwards I got phantom cramps like the ones you were describing, plus a whole multitude of other wacky symptoms, AND to top it all off the actual timing of my cycle was absolutely impossible and never the same from one month to the next.
Let us know if anything 'happens' I guess ! I know it's hard when you just want things to be the way they were.

Mine took 18 mths + to come back, but I was on the depo for a long time (over 4 years)
Sending you some AF vibes Lena - I felt the same way when I was waiting for her to show after my M/C - it's that whole unknown thing that sucks.

well i keep meaning to reply to you guys and I just keep forgetting!!
Well AF hasn't come, not properly anyway, (TMI MAYBE) I had a litle discharge of the DARK DARK redish brown stuff for about an hour on the 10th and nothing since. I guess cause I want to feel "normal" again and start TTC its getting me impaitent... and also the fact my fiance and I were only together a month well Arna was concieved, now its taking about 1 year!!

Bollocks for you Lena! I'm not surprised you are impatient ...for all my complaining about TTC and AF, it does make a difference getting AF fairly regularly, each month, and knowing where I'm at from month to month. I hope it sorts out for you soon!
It does make you wonder though what they put in the things that it leaves you up the shoot for so long, doesn't it?
