As everyone says a positive is positive, my first tests were really faint. Test again in the morning if you can hold off cos you get better results in the morning. congrats again!

Thanks everyone - its so great being able to share this news with so many "friends" here
I rang hubby at home this morning and told him. I tried to play it down - blaming my early morning eyes etc etc. I managed to get an appointment at the family planning to get another test done and they confirmed it - definately a positive!! He is sooooo happy and wants to go and tell everyone tonight!! I tried to tell him that wasn't a good idea but he won't have a bar of it!! Arrrrgggghhh - what to do about a proud daddy
But - for now - I am definately pregnant

thats fantastic. We were the same, we went and told my parents and his the same night and phoned my sisters. I figured if anything went wrong and we lost the baby I was still pregnant and would want them to know what was happening anyway. Congrats again, that is soooo cool. when would you be due?

February next year I think but my cycles are longer than average. I would be about 4 weeks at the moment going from the first day of my last AF but the nurse at the family planning said that could be a little bit different because of my longer cycles.
We will be doing the rounds tonight - hubby said "can't you just let me experience the joys of parenthood". Funny guy

That is wonderful it has been confirmed. We went waited a little while to tell everyone.
When we did do the rounds, DH's mum didn't beleive us and he is the youngest so "her" eldest should have been the first to have the baby - that really annoyed me. My mum was shocked that it happened so fast after having my op and my dad was in hospital in the south Island, so we waited till he got out and was on his way home before we told him. He rang as soon as he got of the ferry and he was so happy.

Thanks everyone - we are all very excited in our house. We told our little man yesterday and he just beamed - he was so happy and kept saying "i'm gonna have a little sister, i'm gonna have a little sister" all night. BTW - everyone in our family is thinking pink!! So we told my family and they were over the moon. Then we went and told the hubby's family and they were all really happy too. Its a really nice feeling - no sickness yet but it was really hard to get up this morning - probably has more to do with the atrocious weather here in Wellington today!!
