Topic: Why is it? Posted: 01 July 2007 at 12:49pm |
What my question is why is it that backache is an early sign of pregnancy when its not very big at all?

I am guessing that it's your body making changes and stretching itself and doing lots of funny things down there that makes you have a backache. Increased blood-flow to the area also puts pressure on things. I think it's a combination of internal happenings that do it. It's funny the different pains you get while pregnant. All part of it I guess.
A wheatpack can do wonders too.

hormones are relaxing your mussles and ligaments and so more strain is put on your back. my back gave me heaps of trouble a while back so my midwife gave me some excises to help like on your hands and knees and holding your back flat and then relaxing now my back dosent give me no where as much trouble and i am sooooo much bigger.

Thanks guys. Yeah we are pretty excited about the prospect of number 2, although trying not to get our hopes up too high just in case something does happen as its still real early days.
