Topic: Rash on belly Posted: 24 June 2007 at 11:14am |
Hoping someone out there can help me. On Friday I noticed a small rash on the inside of my wrist. It is itchy and still there. Friday afternoon, I also noticed that my bump was quite itchy (but also had been told not to itch it, so tried not to). When I get home ON Friday noght, discovered that the rash on my wrist is also all over my bump/belly.
It is still there, small bumps/dots spread over whole stomach. Quite itchy, seems to be worse when I am warm, and really comes up when I have a shower.
I don't know what it is, and don't know whether I should worry about it or not... I will m/w Monday morning, and maybe even go to doctor, but thought maybe someone on here could over some advice or shed some light and what it is, or what to do...

I'm not saying that this is what you have, but might be worth a read before you head off to see your midwife or GP:

Google PUPPS - it is something I have heard of about preggy rashes and would be good to see if your symptoms match so you can talk to your mw about it if you think it is you. From what i have heard it is annoying, not dangerous and not all MWs know about it.

Thanks guys, have read the info and it could be this - although a little early. Thing that now scares me is that if that is what it is, it doesn't sound like it will go away until after birth!!

Have you been in contact with anyone with Rubella etc? It also may been an allergic reaction to something. Do you usually get excema? Cause I usually do (caused by heat/dryness) and it can sometimes be worse during pg.

No have never had excema, and don't seem to have any allergies... Just hard to know if my body would react differently to something because I am pg...
My rubella tests came back all good at begining on pg - is that still an issue?

nope, that means you are immune. Good luck with finding something to make the itching less annoying!
