Topic: Wellington 40 ish & want to get preg? Posted: 15 July 2008 at 9:14am |
Hi, Wellington centralish women, would you enjoy meeting other late 30's - early 40's women who are trying / planning to conceive?
For support, friendship, ideas etc? ...No one can know what its like better than another women in a similar situation...
I could suggest meeting in the baby area of Laffare, the downstairs cafe at Te Papa, or the Brooklyn Bagel co cafe (all got kiddy proof play areas) if people have kids, or somewhere quieter & more luxurious(!) if no one brings kids...
This could be a once a month thing or whatever people wanted.
Are you interested?

Oh hell, does it?!! Yes I suppose it does! Doesnt sound like a savoury prospect eh: 40 and want to get pregnant!? - except that 40 is the new 30, and pregnant women always glow - dont they? Crikey I hope they do, I havnt got time to be getting sick.

I'm not sure if it's the age or not but "I think" I glow and haven't been feeling sick (much anyway) only when I dont have something to eat regularly ....... so it looks all good from this side!!

Sounds like a great idea, make a date and I'll get myself down there.
Somewhere easy to find, we tend to hang out in the Hutt or Porirua don't go to town much.

Thats great Kels and Fleury, shall we wait for a week or so and see if anyone else is keen, then make a time and place?
Whats days and times suit you?
Wed or Thursday late morning would be good for me, but I can do other days too with a bit of juggling.

Thats great Redbedrock...I look forward to finding out where you got your nickname from!
Im so definately not a 'bubbles' I was being ironic when I picked it. Bubbles is almost as lame as my trademe name (but not quite!)...
Anyway, is anyone else interested in getting together with the 4 of us?

It could get tricky working out a day and time that suits everyone...! Hope not.
Shall I summarise:
I can be flexible (but prefer Wed & Thurs)
Fleury needs a bit of notice to come down from Manawatu, would this need to be a weekend for you Fleury? Or could you do Friday?
Kels has to meet on a Friday
Redbedrock can meet Fridays after 2.30 as of next week.
Is Friday afternoon winning so far?

Weekends would be a difficult for me Fleury - and poss for people with kids too.
...Anyone else out there 40ish and planning / wanting to get preg, come along too. We can talk about our ovaries or the latest movies we've seen....

Hi Bubbles,
I just came along this thread. I would be keen to meet sometime, I have a 4 year old and one due in the next 4 weeks sometime. Let me know. Somewhere central or in the eastern suburbs (I'm in Miramar) suits me.
