Anterior placentas

my placenta is anterior. I first felt baby kick about 22 weeks.

cant answer the 2nd question as i still have 12 weeks to go :)

not sure about the anterior palcenta thing as was in japan and no one told me anything, but Jake was posterior born. There are lots of horror stories about posterior births - but mine was okay, i had gas, pethidine, and had Jake in about 5 hours. Two stitches ( and in all honesty, the "minor graze" i got from baby two hurt a lot more) and that was it. no problem!

I can't remember where my placenta was, but Daniel did come out posterior. Next time if I have a posterior baby I think want an epidural (only had gas for Daniel) as the birth was not exactly a good one at all and ended up with 12 stitches

Rhyley was anterior placenta - he was born by ceasar as he was breeched so not too sure what postion he would of ended up as. Josh was posteria birth and it was long and painful (well what labour isn't painful) I had heaps of stitches and he got stuck on my plevic bone (he had a bruise on his head from where he got stuck) but I gave birth to him naturally. he also was a big baby. Brooke was ideal postion ideal placenta postion and ideal birth... (say no more shes was a girl and knew what she was doing LOL)

As for kicks - both boys I felt later although rhyley I felt around 16 weeks no one else felt him kick until around 24 weeks. As for Brooke everyone had felt her by 20 weeks (she sure was a show off)

Don't worry too much I am sure not all anteria placentas stay like that (mine moved up with rhyley) and not all will be posteria if the placenta stays put.

I had an anterior placenta too but first felt baby move at 16 weeks and yes she was still posterior at birth despite sitting on a swiss ball for the last month of my pregnancy. Some posterior babies can move around during labour and come out the right way

Not all posterior babies have to be born by C-Section

Sounds like everyones experiences are still quite different. I guess like everything in pregnancy, we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

two blondinis..interesting bit you say about your stretch marks as most of mine seem to be on my right hand side and that is where my mw said it was where baby seemed to be lying.

I have had 3 anterior placentas. My first i didnt feel movement until 23wks and it was a big kick, she was posterior and i had to have a c/s due to her not decending into my pelvis, nothing to do with the placenta as i had a twisted pelvis at the time. #2 wasnt an anterior placenta and i felt her earlier at 18wks, she was posterior during labour also but moved to anterior at the end and it all went good. #3 felt kicks around 19-20wks also, during labour he was everywhere and moving around a lot, really easy labour and birth. #4 felt movement at 19-20wks again, hoping for an easy birth.
