Have always kinda vetted what the boys watch, but haven't too concerned but recently have seen the huge influence on Jake that TV has. luckily it's kinda good. He's been watching Wallace nad Grommit - the curse of the were rabbit and EVERY time he watches, he runs to the fridge and helps himself to a raw carrot and sits watching, munching out. he pretends to be a bunny. Now have to find a dvd about the joys of housework./.....

we had a friend a few years ago who's three year old son loved watching tom & jerry, they figured it was fine as they are cartoons. that is until

One day she put her washing on around 15 minutes later she noticed said child standing there watching the washing machine. When she asked him what he was doing he said "waiting for kitty to finish". When she asked him what he meant he pointed to the washing machine and said "kitty getting washed". In sheer horror she opened the washing machine and yeah I will not go into great detail about what she saw but their beloved kitten of 12 weeks has passed.

It turns out he had put kitty into the machine because he saw it on his cartoon and after the wash he was going to put her into the dryer to make her all fluffy!!

Hence to say ever since then they have very closely watched what their kids watch!!

haleigh watches playhouse disney mroe than any other channel. we always wondered where she got phrases like 'that a boy', 'be good', 'i can it believe it' (supose to be i can not believe it) from and after watchign it the other day i heard quincey saying them, she also copies their actions and now tries to sing the me me me me song annie sings(not in tune but she is only 20months lol).
only show i ahte haleigh watching is the simpsons and it happens to be her fav, always has been (i went into labour while watching it lol), except now she tells me to shut up when shes not happy and has learnt a few bad habits so i onyl let DF watch it now when its on after 630 when shes in bed.
