I was going to let Jake stay in the cot as long as he wanted, as I was happy knowing where he was, and he seemed really happy there. Anyhow, Charli is a tummy sleeper, and hates her safety sleep and tends to roll into the sides of our bassinnette, so it was making me feel a little nervous. I decided to hurry things along, so I can put Charli in the cot, so we have been talking up the "big boys bed" . He likes to play on it, and has done for ages ( he likes to get under the blankets, and lay on the pillows and go "nigh' nigh'")but wasn't too keen on actually sleeping in it. I tried once or twice to get him to have his afternoon naps in it, not keen. Last week, I bought him this AWESOME duvet at farmers for $25, with ars and trucks and "beep beep" written on it, he loves cars and trucks. Tried to get him in there again on saturday, but not keen. Anyhow, I digress, tonight he downright insisted going to bed in there, to the point of a tantrum that I get him a bottle to go in there with. He has stayed in there so far, and for the first time in his whole life, and I am not exageratting here, has kept his blankets on!!! Now, I'm not holding out any hope that this will last all night and he will magically sleep all night, but I am pretty damn excited for him, and proud of him, he looks sooo cute
Man, is my life ever rock and roll!!!

And well done on the bed transition (so far)! It's so much easier when they just train themselves

Well, he only fell out twice, and was keen to get back in. He often wakes twice anyhow, so its all good. After getting him back down at 5.30am (and I was up with sick bubba till 6am) the little darling slept till about 8.30, when I was woken by him nicely knocking on his door...(yes, I am a mean mummy and shut the door)
