and no reading "baby's bloody birthday" again....skip the bloody though- sounds like we are reading our children some sort of horror book.
Completely off-topic, I found this book in Japan about a little girl who won't go to bed. It sayd only cats, robbers and ghosts are up at this time of night. And if you aren't asleep, the ghost will come and take you away. then shows the little girl crying as the ghost takes her away. the end. Lovely story huh! I didn't buy it, (but kinda wished I had)

lol way to scare your kid to sleep. lol, speaking of that, paris has been scared at night because of our cat - he hid in her room once and jumped on her bed just as she had gone to sleep. she freaked out cos she is apprehensive of most animals alot of the time (no idea why).. We also had another time where the back door happened to have not been shut properly during the day, and the wind blew it open and joey took advantage of this quick smart and walked in as it was opening - leading Paris to believe that he could open the door himself and get in... argh
so every night now i get the "joey's outside aye mum?" and then the "he can't open the door aye mum?" which comes with much reassurance from me that he's outside the door is locked, he's too little to open the door, he doesn't have any oposable thumbs lol, and he's cuddled up inside his bed in the bushes by our gates. lol
Don't you just love when they get to this stage of being scared? We have now also had talk of monsters, am hoping that's as far as it goes.

Hi,
here is my two cents,,
I work full time in early childhood, and i have to say they way they are dealing with your little guy sounds totally inappropriate, they as professionals should be aware of how hard transition stages can be on children, also with you being pregnant that is more for him to deal with, on the other hand perhaps you should talk to the centre supervisor before pulling him out, that is also a big decision for you to make, and more changes for quinn. I have family members that decided to pull their older child out of kindy when new bubs arrived and it left him feeling more out of sorts, kind of like not only did he have to share his parents and attention he also lots the big thing that was just his, kindy.
so thats my thoughts
good luck
