screaming child send me batty

my two year old is sending me round the bend... he is a screamer. and he does it all day every day, for the littlest of things, when he wants something, when he is frustrated, when he is happy, hungry, and i hate it.
just wanted to rant... i know it is lack of communication skills and he has unfortunately picked it up from his mother...

I was going to reply last night, but got stuck on the phone...

Maya never really did the screaming thing (maybe because she was quite verbal quite early) but I can sympathise with how frustrating it is because she whinges instead, and whinging is one thing that really gets under my skin.

I don't really have any advice, other than that the more words he learns the less he will scream (in theory) so it might just be a waiting game...

(PS. LOL about the communication skills - I hope Maya hasn't inherited my 'foot in mouth' disease

Hang in there ladies, it does get better. Liam used to do same thing - screaming all day long, crying & very clingy - it was thoroghly depressing.[:^] But now that he's 2 1/2 & can tell us what he wants he's a lot less frustrated...although now he follows me around the house "Mum, Mum...*whining tone*...

we have Paris who despite always being great with communication and all that kinda stuff, and has always beena happy child, has decided that crying over everything right now is the way to go. if she can't do something she cries, if i ask her to hop on the toilet - she crys, if i say i'm going to do her hair, she cries. everyday little things like asking her to put on her shoes make her cry, it's as if she just can't take being asked to do something. I know maybe it's just cos she doesn't want to, but come on, we have to explain EVERY LITTLE THING to get her to do stuff sometimes. It is wearing me down, i think she cries more now than she ever did as a baby! nice to know others are going just as batty as me.
