HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT SUPPORT FOR YOUNG FATHERS?
Being a young father can be confusing and tough and often requires extra support and guidance.
Some people may seek this support through family and friends, others may seek for it elsewhere through organisations and father support groups. Or maybe scan the internet for help and guidance.
This research is about how effective support systems are for young fathers within New Zealand.
I am looking for young fathers, aged between 18-25 who would be interested in talking about their experiences with support systems for young fathers.
I believe that if we can better understand support systems for young fathers and how they feel about their experiences with them, we can further develop them and ensure they are providing the support that young fathers personally require.
If this is something you would like to be involved in, Rebecca Pay (the researcher) would love to meet with you for about 30-60 minutes to talk about your experiences. This will be confidential and would be at a time that suits you.
Rebecca Pay is an honours student in the School of Psychology at Waikato University.
