ok so I'm 22 weeks and still not sure if i have felt baby move or not being my first pregnancy I have nothing to compare it to.
I'm not worried as I've heard baby's heart beat and had my 20 week scan must be nice if I could actually feel some movement that I knew was baby.

I know how you feel megan, I couldn't feel this baby or Gia until 20 weeks, but that was because the placenta was sitting in the front.
Did your scan show where your placenta was positioned? If it is in the front then it could be blocking the movements from baby. I bet you're very eager to feel your little one kick though huh!

I was wondering about the placenta blocking the sensations too, I had that with my latest pregnancy. Nothing was wrong but I just didn't feel a lot until kinda late and even then it wasn't very strong for a long time. When's your next mw appointment? If it's still far away your mw might be happy to quickly doppler you on her next clinic day?

My placenta is placed at the front and I only feel kicks to the sides of my tummy and up the top, as the ladies on here have already told you that does cushion alot of the kicks. I didn't start to get real movement until after 22 weeks. The sonographer actually told me where my placenta was placed at my 12 week scan, did they not tell you? I guess its not compulsory, but they just told me I would be thankful for where it is, cause as you get towards the end of pregnancy its a blessing to actually not feel every kick!
Maybe yours is placed at the front aswell, I would be inclined to think it might be!

Oh yeah, also quite often the baby moving feels like major wind to me, but it never results to anything (eg gas release burp or fart ) I definately feel kicks now though and you can see my tummy jolt when a kick happens.
Are you feeling anything that you could mistake as wind? Maybe thats all the movement your feeling for now?
Just a thought anyway!

hey megangrace, I started worrying about lack of movements around the 20 week, everyone told me I was probably feeling them and not knowing - but as soon as I felt them I knew exactly what they were! My placenta is not at the front, just a late kicker... and now he never stops

Hey megangrace. I know how you feel!
I've only started feeling things this week and I'm pretty sure that I was told my placenta is at the front. My Mum also said that she carried deep so I resigned myself to feeling things late. I think I'm also still quite small for week 21.
I tend to feel really really gentle kicks quite low down in my pelvis. They aren't at all regular and I haven't felt anything significant for a day or two. They feel like bubbles popping!
It was so frustrating at my 20 week scan, I could see baby kicking and not feel a thing!

I have no idea where my placenta is. is that something my MW will be able to tell me when I go and see her next week.

Does it say on your scan report MeganGrace? Mine says placenta is anterior and I definately know that mine is at the front! I don't think your m/w would know unless they put it on your scan report, I think its something they can only tell at the scan, but I am guessing here?

Oh gosh you've got me stumped now??? I would assume that means placenta, so your m/w should know hopefully from whatever they indicated on your report!

Best of luck to solving the mystery MeganGrace!
Maybe you'll feel kicks before you see your midwife...

plac ls means the placenta is low down, but could be anterior or posterior.
