Ella has been dry at night quite often now, every few days she'll have a wet nappy but it's not very wet. I am reluctant to put her in knickers right away as I can't be bothered changing the sheets at night, so I was wondering if anyone has used training pants instead? I think you can get them at the Baby Factory maybe, but I was just wondering if they'd hold a wee or not?

Also, any other suggestions welcome!

I'm not sure about the training pants but we used dry nights for Abby as she got upset over her nappies. She was quite happy with the change as she felt like a big girl wearing her pants and not a nappy, but at the same time they stopped a wet bed on the odd occasion when she did wet.

We used the pull up style and it didnt really work because to kobe it still felt like a nappy so he would pee in them. During the night after he was dry for about a week we just stopped putting nappies on him and he has had the odd accident but hardly ever. Maybe if you tried no nappies if she has an accident she will not like the feel of it and realise she needs to go to the toilet. You could double sheet the bed with a towel in the middle so if she wets then you just have to take the first sheet and towel off.

For Abby just in case of an accident we use a sheet, it's cot size and has material on top and thin plastic on the bottom. It was great for Jayden as when he wet we could just change him put the sheet in the wash and back to bed!

They sell the mat at the warehouse for around $12 I think.

Andrew went into to pullups when he was TT during the day. He stayed dry in them most nights and I think it ws once a week he had an accident. We changed him into undies and got him up just before we went to bed to go toilet and we had dry nights. We still get him up at night before we go to bed if he has had a lot to drink at night.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

We put her in knickers last night and she was DRY! YAY!! Took her to the toilet in the night, and she went, half asleep hehe. She has a star chart to keep her interested, but she's very proud of herself anyway.

I'm wondering when to start Han... she's started asking to wear knickers at night but I'm just not ready!!! She has wet her nappy for the last 2 nights but was dry for about 2 weeks before that... and I think the wet nappy happened early int he morning so I guess I could avoid that by taking her during the night.

What time do you take Ella? Just before you go to sleep?

And well done Hope it continues to go well

I took her at 10pm. I went to bed about 11 and then she woke at midnight so I took her again. Then as soon as she woke in the morning (6.30am). She peed every time!

Yay Ella!
Nikki - Maya was never, ever dry at night, I think eventually she was peeing in her trainers coz she knew she could. One day I didn't have a dry one to put on her so told her she'd have to go without and took her before I went to bed and she was dry, and she's pretty much been dry ever since.
