I have a client who swears by Hypnobirthing, she had two PAIN FREE births with her two girls. You listen to tapes from about 6 months onwards and she also had a hypnotist who she worked with. You are fully aware, not like you are in a trance or anything. She said that she felt all the different sensations, just not any pain. Pretty amazing really. I think people tend not to do hypnobirthing as it sounds quite "out there" and she mentioned that some women thought that she was cheating to actually do this. I have a friend who is totally freaked about having babies and she is not actually pregnant and so when the time comes she is going to do it.
