about my FIL

He is busy taking down our deck thing (turned out the guy they got to put it up didn't have a building permit.), so has put bits of timber with nails and crap in this big pile in the backyard. I mentioned the kids getting into it and he said he would handle it.

I came back from playcentr and FIL came in.
"I've organised that wood. I put some tape on it"
"tape?" i said
"yes, it says danger on it"

i look outside and the big pile of wood has poles surrounding it, with like police tape - saying "danger" in big bright letters. That was solving the prolem apparently

Sometimes I wonder how my hubby and the 3 silblings survived into adulthood.

P.s they are taking it all away tomorrow apparently

Oh and to add to this - FIL was walking through the "danger" area, stepped on a rake which went into his leg, so had to go to the doctor for tetanus shot.

seriously, how did hubby make it to adulthood???

I don't know, but I hope he hasn't inherited his fathers parenting style

Yup im sorry but i had to have a good laugh at this! lol

My hubby has one of these moments the other day when we were going out and my mother didnt have a housekey so he proceeded to leave a note on the front door in plain veiw saying where the house key was hidden!!!! so i told him what would be the point in leaving the note we may as well leave the door unlocked and leave an inviting note for a burgalar!!!
SHEESH!!!
