Recommend a midwife in South Auckland

   Hello Everone,

We are expecting our first baby in early March 2015.

I could really use some midwife recommendations! (Or advice on who not to use!)

Some factors to take into consideration:

- We live in Papakura, South Auckland
- I would prefer to birth at a hospital - don't mind either Middlemore or Auckland. I wouldn't mind birthing at Birthcare Auckland either.
- After I have the baby, I want to go to Birthcare Auckland
- I would prefer a female independent midwife that has a lot of experience and isn't afraid to refer to a specialist if there are any concerns.

I did get the name of a wonderful midwife, referred by a friend, but unfortunately she is unable to be my midwife as she is based in Central Auckland and is unable to do postnatal visits to Papakura - which is really disappointing. She was unable to refer me on to anyone in South Auckland.
