My first post here - Hi All. Id like to know about mothers coffee groups. Im 14 weeks pregnant at the moment and have been hearing about groups that meet up for coffee and chat. Where do you find out about them? Are they connected to the antenatal classes you book in for, or coordinated by your midwife or what? I see there are a few groups listed in these forums but none for Wellington. It would be nice to meet some women who are in my area and at a similar stage of pregnancy to compare notes with :) Any suggestion?
Welcome. Join your "due in" month thread here and there may be other Wellington Mums. Otherwise u can do a post in the Mums meet up section.
Many people start meeting up with the ladies from their antenatal group once the babies are born, or meet other new mums at baby courses run by Plunket or parent centre. Most are informal groups that happen when are few ladies suggest meeting up together, not so much an organised group, although some plunket centres do run "cofee mornings" where u go with your baby/child to meet other people/kids can play.
