My daughter is 4 1/2 months now and a week ago we travelled half way round the world so have been dealing with jet lag. But now it seems to be something else.

Before she was sleeping from 7pm till 4am/6am and now she is waking around 11pm, 12am, 3am, 5am,6am then 8/9am - is this the four month sleep regression??? What do i do about it?? Each time she wakes i feed her, and it doesnt take long for her to go back to sleep - could it be she is ready for solids and is just hungry?

Thanks for any help

snpone - the sleepstore have some amazing resources and looking back I wish I had read them earlier!! We had a baby that slept through until about 5 months then bang lots of wake ups. According some people (and the info from the sleepstore) they do change their sleeping habits around this age and actually wake every couple of hours and need to learn (if they haven't already) how to put themselves back to sleep. GoodLuck

Yep this is normal and nothing to do with being hungry and needing solids- a baby's digestive system is not ready for solids until close to or after 6 months. Its more to do with an increase in brain development and awareness. I second the sleepstore advise.

Sleepstore also have a FB page with a sleep forum so you can get advice for your particular situation.

I'm another who wishes I'd know about them when my girls were tiny.
