My midwife is Helena Humphries, she is based at hibiscus coast midwives on whangaparoa road, I used her sidekick for my first, her for my second and am with her again for number three, she is lovely. Very relaxed but super professional. Has three of her own, and has been a midwie for years, very experienced.
Very supportive too. She is on leave til the end of this week, but if you want her number pm me x

Hi there, I ended up ringing Hibiscus Coast Midwives before I saw your post and got booked with Karen Lovelock. Have you heard anything about her - do you think she will be ok??

I cant recall if I have met her or not , but they all seem very good in there, If you meet her and you dont like her, you can change anyway. They are all about our age dscogn and I found that great as I didnt want an older woman who was old school or someone young enough to havent had her own children yet.
How far along are you?

Thank you so much - yes that's true I can swap if I don't click with her. She did sound very nice on the phone though. My first appointment with her is on Tuesday so fingers crossed. Yeah I feel the same way, I don't want anyone too old yet not too young either.
I'm 7 weeks today. This is my 10th pregnancy but no live children. 4 of them have been confirmed in my tubes and the other 5 were of unknown location and resolved themselves (prob in my tubes as well). This is my first IVF cycle and it looks like putting it in the right placed has finally done the trick.
Early days yet but looking good so far :)

I can't recommend highly enough my last MW Delwyn Evans. She's with Maternity Associates in Apollo drive,
but lives in Whangaparaoa. Nothing is ever too much bother for her and she always outs you at ease
