Topic: What do you really want for Xmas?? Posted: 18 December 2011 at 11:20am |
If Santa could actually give you what you really wanted, what would you ask for??
For me, I want DS to TT so we don't have screaming fits three times a day about nappy changes
I want DD to stop waking for no reason 5 times a night - I haven't fed her between 11pm and 7am for two months, so you'd think she would realise there is no point in waking
What do you all really really want??

had to think!!
I want my work to stop being dicks and let me work 2-3 days a week instead of saying full time shift work or nothing. That would eliminate a lot of hassles.

The little guy to learn to sleep through regularly before number 2 arrives in April.
And maybe a day to myself where I don't have to feel guilty for spending money or not doing the housework or being on to it.

DH to finish his PhD on time in March and get it all over with. He's so stressed about it, and he's got a great job lined up if he can just get it done...

A dishwasher and a new toilet seat.
And then whatever money can't buy, like:
- Loved ones back from the afterlife
- Child abuse to completely cease (and if possible, to never have happened in the first place)
- Sensible sentencing
- For my MIL to stop feeding DS ice cream for morning tea

I'd love to go on a massive maternity wear shopping spree at expensive shops so I don't have to keep wearing the same things over and over.
And for a magic teleporter so I can see my parents and grandparents without the 6 hour drive. And so I can see my sister once she moves up north because we will never be able to afford flights to such a random spot.
For DH's job to be made permanent instead of the temping contract that forever gets extended.

That's easy...for the relationship I thought I had to not be built on a lie.
On the actual present front...I'd be happy with some nice moisturiser or for someone to give me a voucher for a home cooked dinner not cooked by me!!

ohh hopes, this sure is the hard end of the phd! so exciting that he's nearly there but rough timing with the new bubs coming too. good luck to him.
i'd like DD1's molars to come through and for her to have no more ear infections.
i'd like DD2's reflux to disappear so i can eat a varied diet again.
most of all i'd like a full nights sleep!!

For my family to be here with us for christmas (and meet our kids).
For the kids to sleep through the night.
And then a GHD, massage/facial/pedicure and some nice edible treats would also be lovely

For all of my immediate family to be together for Christmas (Mum & Step Dad, Dad & Partner, brother & family, sister & DF, DH, IL's) but I know it's too much to ask as it would involve bringing them together from 4 different cities in 3 different countries.
Something more attainable that I would like are some large canvas prints for our bare new-house walls. But that will have to wait until after Christmas as we aren't having our family photography session until early Feb.
